Kelly Thompson is Vice President, Finance at Federated Co-operatives Limited (FCL), where he provides strategic leadership across the Finance function. He oversees Financial Planning and Analysis, Treasury, Tax and Risk Management, Accounting, Local Co-op Financial Services and Systems, Internal Audit, and Growth and Business Development. Kelly and his team ensure that financial strategies support FCL’s vision.
Before rejoining FCL, Kelly served as Vice President, Finance and Chief Financial Officer for the Saskatchewan Health Authority, one of Canada’s largest integrated healthcare organizations. In this role, he oversaw Finance, Supply Chain, Procurement, Major Capital Projects, Legal, and Risk Management.
Kelly’s first tenure at FCL spanned over 15 years, starting in Internal and Retail Audit. He advanced through progressive leadership roles across Finance, leading to his position as Associate Vice President, Finance and Risk Management.
With a collaborative and values-based leadership approach, Kelly focuses on building highly engaged teams and leading Finance transformation initiatives that create and deliver meaningful value.
Kelly is a Chartered Accountant (CA) and holds both a Bachelor of Commerce and a Master’s Degree in Professional Accounting from the University of Saskatchewan. He is actively involved in the business community, serving on various boards throughout his career and contributing to community organizations through volunteer work.
