Barb Dixon

Barb Dixon of Innisfail AB, was first elected to the Board of Federated Co-operatives Limited in 2025. She is one of the directors elected by District 2 which is comprised of 20 member co-ops in Alberta and British Columbia. Barb has primary responsibility for seven member co-ops located across the District.

As an FCL Director, Barb serves on the Human Resources Committee and represents the Board on behalf of The Co-operators for Alberta.

Elected to the Central Alberta Co-op Ltd. Board of Directors in 2018, Barb held the role of Board Chair from 2020 to 2025. She has completed the full suite of FCL Governance courses and holds the Co-op Director.D Designation. Additionally, Barb holds a Legal Assistant Diploma and a Public Relations Diploma.

Currently, Barb is employed as the Manager of Executive Operations at Red Deer Polytechnic, where she has been working in the post-secondary education sector for nearly two decades.

A strong advocate for community engagement, Barb is the Vice Chair of the Innisfail Health Centre Fundraising Committee and serves as a board member of the Innisfail Municipal Library. She has also contributed her time to several other volunteer boards within her community.

Barb and her husband, Neil, are proud parents to Brant and Reilly. In their leisure time, they enjoy curling and golfing.
